Installed HBO - do not forget to re-register the car at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
Currently, Ukrainians are experiencing the most challenging period in the nation's existence. All human and material resources are engaged in supporting the Armed Forces. Despite citizens not forgetting about the country's economy, they are working and donating. However, due to limited material resources, most people are forced to reduce their expenses.
In response to the rising prices of gasoline and diesel, Ukrainians are turning to alternative fuels. One of the most widespread alternatives is gas. It is observed that the demand for installing gas equipment has significantly increased. Since the beginning of 2023, over 28 thousand citizens have retrofitted their cars and completed the re-registration of their vehicles.
MVS service centers are reminding citizens of the process for re-registering vehicles after installing gas equipment.
After retrofitting a car, it must be re-registered at an MVS service center within a 10-day period. To avail of this service, individuals need to have a pre-recorded appointment ticket. Online appointments can be made on the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs website using the E-RECORD functionality. Additionally, an appointment ticket for the re-registration of a vehicle can be obtained directly from a terminal located within the MVS service center premises.
To re-register a car after installing gas equipment (HBO), an individual needs to provide the following documents:
- Passport of a Ukrainian citizen.
- Identification number.
- Existing certificate of vehicle registration.
- Acceptance-transfer act for the car.
- Certificate of approval for modifications to the vehicle structure.
- Certificate of conformity.
After re-registering the vehicle, the owner receives a new certificate of vehicle registration, which includes a record of the installation of gas equipment on the vehicle.
MVS service centers consistently emphasize that expert examination is not mandatory. Therefore, the presence of the vehicle is not obligatory. Expert examination is conducted at the owner's discretion
